Chapter 12
Chapter 12 — Wedding Day Without Bride
Khuong Van replied: "Is it important?"
“Important.” His eyes were filled with anger at being deceived, "You can clearly see, yet you look at me like I'm an idiot taking care of you?"
Aunt Trieu was so angry that she burst out laughing:
"Care? You cared so much that you got the little girl pregnant, cared so much that you stole her mother's paintings, cared so much that you almost tricked her into going to the operating table?"
Pho Thinh Lan's face turned pale. The surrounding guests exploded.
“Operating table?”
“What does that mean?”
Khuong Van took out the surgery arrangement paper from her pocket and gave it to Mr. Chau:
“Read it.”
Lao Chau glanced at Pho Thinh Lan, gritted his teeth and read: "Hua Tri Ha, hospitalized after the wedding. Khuong Van, check and prepare backup." Pho's mother rushed forward to steal the paper. Aunt Trieu waved her hand and slapped her hard, slapping her away:
"Are you still planning to rob? Do you think all these people here are dead?"
Hua Tri Ha cried and shook her head:
“It's not like that, I just need to reserve blood.”
Khuong Van asked: "Does the Pho family need to sign for the blood reserve?" Lao Chau turned to the second page, his voice trembling:
“Agreeing person: Pho Tinh Lan.”
Pho Thinh Lan's lips are pale white:
“I just want to take precautions.”
Khuong Van looked at him:
“Your unforeseen precautions cost me my life.”
Hua Tri Ha suddenly pointed at Khuong Van:
"She also deceived you! She saw but pretended to be blind to make you feel guilty. She is more cruel than anyone!"
Khuong Van walked in front of her. Hua Tri Ha reflexively retreated into Pho Thinh Lan's arms. Khuong Van stopped:
"The day I recovered, I wanted to tell him first. But I saw their marriage certificate on his phone."
Hua Tri Ha's face became whiter and whiter. Khuong Van looked around at the guests:
“Cang Thanh, March 17. In the registration photo, the white dress Miss Hua is wearing is the same dress she is wearing today.”
Everyone's eyes simultaneously fell on Hua Tri Ha. Even if she wanted to escape, there was no time left. Pho's mother frantically defended: "The registration certificate here at Cang Thanh is not considered legal." Aunt Trieu scolded: "You understand the law too well, don't you?" Pho Thinh Lan finally spoke:
“Van Van, I can explain.”
Khuong Van shook her head:
“Save it to explain to the guests tomorrow.”
She turned to Mr. Chau:
“Report the police.”
Do Minh Vien wanted to sneak away, but his cousin blocked him at the door:
"Mr. Do, you were very loud just now? Why don't you continue cursing now?"
Do Minh Vien's face turned gray. Hua Tri Ha suddenly screamed frantically: "Don't call the police! That painting is not with me!" The hall was as quiet as paper. Khuong Van asked: "Where?" Hua Tri Ha bit her lips tightly. Pho Thinh Lan also looked at her. Fear appeared in Hua Tri Ha's eyes:
"I don't know, I just signed it. It was Do Minh Vien who said to take it for evaluation, and will bring it back tomorrow."
Do Minh Vien's face changed dramatically:
“You talk nonsense!”
Hua Tri Ha screamed:
“I took a picture when you took it away!”
Khuong Van held out his hand:
“Phone.”
Hua Tri Ha hugged her bag tightly. Pho Thinh Lan grabbed her bag from her hand and pulled out her phone:
“Password.”
Hua Tri Ha cried and refused to speak. Pho Thinh Lan stared at her:
“Password.”
She had to read it out a series of numbers. The photo was opened, Do Minh Vien was holding a box of paintings, standing next to a black car. The license plate is clearly visible. Lao Chau immediately spoke up: "I know this car belongs to the owner of the antique shop in the West." Khuong Van took the sunglasses back, but did not put them on.
“Go.”
Deputy Thinh Lan raised his hand to stop her:
“I'll go with you.”
Khuong Van looked at him:
"You don't deserve it."
* The Western Citadel antique shop still has its lights on. When Khuong Van arrived at the door, the boss was ordering someone to carry a box onto the car. Lao Chau rushed forward:
“Stop!”
