Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — Mistakes Cannot Be Compensated
I glanced at the clock.
“The recovery room has a doctor.”
“Her mother just finished major surgery, Thu Nha is easily stressed.”
“We're not done talking yet.”
Luc Hoai Xuyen's hand stopped on the coat rack.
"My mood is unstable right now, no matter what I say, it won't work."
“Then there's no need to say more.”
He turned his head to look at me.
“What do you mean?”
“Leave the divorce matter to the lawyer.”
Luc Hoai Xuyen picked up his coat, his face unsightly.
“Tham Gia Hoa, do you really think that after leaving me, your life will be better than it is now?”
“I don't know.”
I pushed the cake box aside.
“So I wanted to try it.”
Luc Hoai Xuyen stood still for a few seconds, then finally left. After the door closed, I opened the cake box. Above is written: *Happy 5th wedding anniversary.* The staff wrote the word "5" very beautifully. I used a plastic knife to cut a line from the middle down, dividing that line in half. 6 Tuesday morning, Tong Dao and I went to check in at the hospital. After changing the patient's clothes, the nurse came in to compare information. Seeing my name, she looked up one more time.
“Are you a member of Headmaster Luc's family?”
“It won't be anymore.”
The nurse couldn't hear clearly.
“Yes?”
“Nothing.”
The operating room door opened. The person in charge of nursing on the outside came out from inside. Seeing On Thu Nha, my fingertips suddenly turned cold. She also saw me. The footsteps stopped at the door.
“Miss Gia Hoa?”
I immediately looked at the doctor next to me.
“I want to change nurses.”
The doctor flipped through the roster.
“Chief nurse Wen is in charge of nursing today.”
“Change to anyone.”
On Thu Nha took two steps closer.
"Don't worry, I won't bring personal feelings into my work."
“I don't feel secure.”
Her face was pale. A few medical staff around looked back. The doctor was a bit awkward.
"Suddenly changing people will affect the future surgery schedule. If you two know each other, it won't affect standard operations."
I held Tong Dao's hand tightly.
“Change hospital.”
Tong Dao immediately nodded.
“Go.”
We were just about to leave when my stomach suddenly ached. A stream of warm liquid flowed down my legs. The doctor's face changed.
"There's bleeding, get it checked out now!"
The silhouettes of people in sight quickly began to stir. I was pushed onto a mobile stretcher. On Thu Nha stood at the edge of the operating room door, the look of resentment on her face was gone. She put on her mask, revealing only her eyes.
“Preparing for surgery.”
Before anesthesia, I asked to change nurses one last time. The chief surgeon glanced at the data on the monitor.
“Your blood is flowing more and more, it will be dangerous if it continues any longer.”
Tong Dao was stopped outside the operating room, impatiently banging on the door.
“Tham Gia Hoa, don't be afraid, I'm right outside!”
Anesthesia is injected into the bloodstream. The surgical light above the head gradually became blurred. When I woke up again, the hospital room was very quiet. Stomach pain is dull, each episode becomes more and more obvious. I moved my legs and felt wet and cold underneath. On Thu Nha stood at the end of the bed recording data.
“What time is it?”
My voice is very small.
“2:40.”
“Where is Tong Dao?”
“Go buy food for me.”
I gasped.
“I bled a lot.”
On Thu Nha walked over and lifted the edge of the blanket to take a look.
“Hemorrhage after surgery is very normal.”
“Me dizzy."
“The anesthetic hasn't worn off yet.”
She slowed down the infusion rate.
“Please rest for a while.”
I looked at her.
“You already knew I wanted a divorce.”
Her hand stopped.
“Talking about this now is not good for your recovery.”
“You deliberately tricked him into signing the papers.”
On Thu Nha neither admitted nor denied. She covered the blanket again.
“Lately, Director Luc has had enough hardships.”
