Chapter 11
Chapter 11 — Mistakes Cannot Be Compensated
"It's been so long since my father's story has passed, and I'm still holding on and not letting go. Now, because of my mother's surgery, I'm making a fuss and demanding a divorce. Do you think about his situation?"
I tried to reach out to ring the bell, but my arm was weak and without any strength.
“Call the doctor.”
"My blood pressure was just measured and it's normal."
“I feel uncomfortable.”
“Everyone is in pain after surgery.”
She returned to the end of the bed and wrote a few lines on the nursing record. I stared at her back, an illusion gradually appeared in my vision.
“Wen Shuya.”
She didn't look back.
“You like Luc Hoai Xuyen, right?”
The pen stopped on the paper. After a few seconds, she said: "That has nothing to do with your current situation."
“So you saw the divorce agreement.”
“I told you, I thought it was real estate documents.”
“Do you believe Luc Hoai Xuyen?”
On Thu Nha finally raised her head.
“Whether he believes it or not, he needs to judge for himself.”
"Mrs. Gia Hoa, you've been married to him for 5 years, you should know better than me. Every day he faces life and death issues, he doesn't have the strength to deal with you constantly bringing up old matters to calculate."
I closed my eyes.
“Get out.”
She stood still without moving.
“If you let him go sooner, everyone will be relieved.”
There were footsteps outside. On Thu Nha immediately turned around and picked up the infusion record sheet on the table. The person who walked in was an ordinary nurse.
“Chief nurse On, the family of bed number 2 is looking for you.”
“I'll be right over.”
On Thu Nha gave her the clipboard.
“The patient had a small amount of bleeding after surgery, his vital signs were stable, he continued to monitor.”
The nurse nodded. I wanted to call her back, but my throat couldn't make a sound. After Wen Thu Nha left, the hospital room became quiet again. The body is getting colder. It felt like there was a layer of soundproofing water in my ears, and the sounds in the hallway became distant. I don't know how much time has passed. The door to the hospital room was pushed open. Tong Dao rushed in carrying a thermal bag.
“Gia Hoa?”
She walked to the bed, her expression immediately changed.
“Why is your face so pale?”
I moved my lips with difficulty.
“Blood…”
Tong Dao flipped the blanket up. The next second, the bag of food in her hand fell to the ground.
“Nurse!”
“Is there anyone!”
“She's bleeding constantly!”
The hospital room was suddenly chaotic. The nurse pushed the ambulance over and the doctor checked quickly.
“Blood pressure 86, heart rate 130!”
“How much blood was lost?”
“The mattress is soaked!”
“Open an intravenous line immediately, report to the operating room!”
Someone pressed my shoulder, someone put an oxygen mask on my face. Tong Dao grabbed the doctor's shirt and asked: "Is she okay?"
“You go out first!”
I was pushed into the operating room again. Before my consciousness disappeared, I saw On Thu Nha standing at the end of the hallway. Next to her is Luc Hoai Xuyen. He had just come down from upstairs, the buttons of his white blouse were not yet buttoned. Wen Thu Nha's eyes were red and she said something to him. Luc Hoai Xuyen glanced at her, then looked at me. When I woke up, it was night time. There was only one wall light on in the room. Tong Dao collapsed on the edge of the bed, her eyes swollen. Seeing me open my eyes, she jumped up in surprise.
“Are you awake?”
“Doctor!”
The doctor on duty came in to check and confirmed that the situation was temporarily stable.
“Post-bleeding The surgery was not detected in time, the amount of blood loss was quite large, further monitoring is needed."
Tong Dao's tears fell.
“She called the nurse, why didn't anyone pay attention?”
The doctor frowned and flipped through the file.
“The nursing record states that the bleeding was small and blood pressure was normal.”
“Small amount?”
Tong Dao pulled out a photo of a bloody mattress from his phone.
“Is this considered a small amount?”
Outside the door, Wen Thu Nha's voice rang out.
“At that time I checked, it was still within the normal range.”
Tong Dao rushed out.
