Chapter 17
Chapter 17 — Mistakes Cannot Be Compensated
The sound from outside echoed through the steel door. On Thu Nha's voice was mixed with sobs.
"Director Luc, please listen to my explanation. The notes were filled out later by the Nursing Department's request, so I revised them."
“Who told you to fill in more?”
“I don't remember the exact index at that time, I can only fill in the data recorded by the machine.”
“Why is the amount of blood loss written as a small amount?”
“When I left, there wasn't much blood.”
“Do you know she's pregnant?”
It was silent outside. A few seconds later, On Thu Nha said: "I know."
“Since when?”
“When she checked into the emergency room.”
“Why didn't you tell me?”
“I thought she would say it herself.”
“What about the divorce agreement?”
On Thu Nha's voice began to tremble.
“Director Luc, I really saw wrong.”
“You worked at the hospital for 10 years, and you saw the divorce agreement turned into real estate documents?”
"I was so busy at that time..."
Luc Hoai Xuyen interrupted her.
"On the signature page, it is clearly stated that the marital relationship is voluntarily terminated."
On Thu Nha burst into tears.
“I admit I don't want you to see.”
“Why?”
“Because I like you.”
The hallway was so quiet that you could hear the elevator humming. Wen Thu Nha seemed to have used up all her courage.
“From the moment I entered the hospital to practice with you, I liked you.”
"I know you're married, and I never intended to destroy you and your wife. I just felt I wasn't worthy of replacing you."
"She doesn't understand my job at all. When I came home from surgery for ten hours, she could only ask me why I didn't eat with her."
“Her father's matter clearly has nothing to do with you, but she resented you for all these years.”
“After my mother's surgery, she started making trouble again.”
"When I held the divorce agreement in my hand, I just wanted you to know a little later. Wait until she calms down, maybe there won't be a divorce anymore."
Luc Hoai Xuyen asked: "What about the surgery day?"
“Yes?”
“Why did you go into her operating room?”
"I'm the head nurse, the roster puts me there."
“She asked to change people.”
“Suddenly changing people will affect work.”
“She's bleeding, why didn't you call the doctor?”
On Thu Nha cried so much that she couldn't breathe.
“You really made a wrong judgment.”
“I don't think about harming her.”
"I just see her always making excuses that she's not feeling well to attract your attention. In the past, she often had stomach pain and low blood sugar, and every time I had to rush home from the hospital."
My hand holding the doorknob slowly tightened. Luc Hoai Xuyen was silent for a long time. On Thu Nha moved closer.
“Headmaster Luc, Ms. Gia Hoa doesn't need you anymore.”
“Your baby is also gone.”
“Let me stay by your side from now on, okay?”
“I will not force you to neglect your work, nor will I argue with you because you saved anyone.”
“I know what you need most.”
A muffled groan rang out outside the door. Like something fell to the ground. Luc Hoai Xuyen's voice was cold.
“Go away.”
“Director Luc…”
“Don't ever step into my office again, don't touch my personal belongings.”
“Before the hospital has the results of the investigation, don't come to me.”
On Thu Nha sobbed: "You have never treated me like that before."
“Before, I thought you knew me personally fate.”
The sound of footsteps quickly leaving. The hallway fell silent. Luc Hoai Xuyen did not ring the bell. He stood outside the door, not moving for a long time. Tong Dao looked at me.
“Are you open?”
“No need.”
Half an hour later, I heard him leave. When opening the door, there is a file bag on the ground. Inside were the ultrasound slip, the surgery records I left at home, and a bank card. Underneath the card is a sticky note. *[Password is my birthday.]*
