Chapter 15 — The Empty Rescuer and the Female President Hide a Will

The southern embankment cracked into a line more than ten meters long.

People panicked, but did not want to leave their homes for fear of losing their things. I divided the team into three groups, took the children and the elderly to the upper floors, and used a loudspeaker to ask everyone to open the door.

Vy stood next to me, calling Thien Ha warehouses to send trucks carrying sandbags. She didn't ask about the cost, just signed the emergency rescue order.

“Do you have the right to sign?” I asked.

"I don't know. But if you wait for power, the country won't wait."

Quoc Thanh called and asked Vy to stop using company assets.

Vy turned on the speakerphone.

"I will sign everything necessary. If you want to sue, wait until the people are safe."

Thanh cursed, Nam recorded it. The recording was broadcast live, causing many shareholders to turn to Vy.

Water overflowed the foot of the embankment. A bus stuck in the middle of the road. I dove to open the back door, but the current pulled strongly. Vy tied the rope around my waist.

“I won't let you disappear on your own.”

“Hold the rope, don't let go.”

I broke the glass and brought everyone out one by one. A little girl hugged a cat and refused to let go. Vy got into the car and carried them both.

After two hours, everyone was taken to the high-rise school. The residential area has not collapsed, but the embankment must be closed.

Quan inspected the exposed steel bars. He pointed to a clean break.

"It's not because of the flood. Someone cut it first."

Thanh Tin destroyed the embankment to create a reason to sell the land.

After hearing this, Vy's face turned cold.

“I will not sign a single meter.”

I put my hand on her shoulder.

“You will pay the price.”

“I have been paying since I sat in the chairman's chair.”

That night, a reporter asked me about my relationship with Vy. I don't answer. I'm just saying the fund needs to be audited.

Khang called from the city, saying my mother fainted after hearing the news about the embankment. I wanted to go home, but my mother woke up and told me to stay.

“You have found your sister,” she said. “Don't let me turn you back.”

I looked at Vy sleeping on the sandbag. The woman I just knew was using her vest as a pillow.

For the first time, the word "sister" is no longer strange.
