Tuong Vy took me to her father's old house.

It is located behind an abandoned garden with no nameplate. Vy said her father and my father worked together on a rescue project before Thien Ha was founded. After that, the two disagreed about building a residential area on low land.

“My father wanted to relocate people,” Vy said. “Your father wants to reinforce the embankment.”

“So why is my father being blamed?”

“Because he knows too much.”

In the office, Vy opened a wall compartment. A map of the riverside area marked in red ink. On the map, the landslide points coincide with the location where Thanh Tin company used to construct.

I took a photo of the map. Nam stood outside the yard to keep watch.

Suddenly, the window glass broke. A stone flew in, inside was a piece of paper: "USB delivery within 24 hours."

Vy pulled me to the floor. She didn't panic, just checked each room. A back door was slightly open. The intruder took the notebook from the desk drawer.

“What book?” I asked.

“List of people who know the fund.”

I looked at her.

“Do you know who took it?”

“Someone who worked as my father's assistant.”

“Then why did you bring me here?”

Vy stood next to the blank wall.

“Because I want to know if you are the one he chose.”

I do not understand. Vy did not explain, just sent the map to Nam.

Mom called halfway home. She said someone came to ask what my father used to do, then said she should leave the riverside area.

“Do you know about the Safe River fund?”

She was silent.

“I know.”

“Your father didn't embezzle, right?”

"He transferred the money out to save people. But he didn't have time to tell me."

“Who keeps the money?”

She just replied:

“Someone who has the same blood as you.”

The call was disconnected. I looked at Tuong Vy sitting in front. She also received a call, then suddenly turned pale.

“The board will vote to remove me tomorrow,” she said.

"Why?"

“They said I hid the will.”

I remember what my mother said. People of the same blood.

And for the first time, I wondered if the female president in front of me had more to do with her family than an investigation.
